Meet Sarah

I am a post-graduate qualified and registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. Having experienced managing my own health issues I realised how important what we eat and how we live can make us feel. I want to help others to understand how diet and lifestyle can positively impact their health and wellbeing.

An in-depth health and lifestyle assessment can help to address nutritional imbalances and how these may be contributing to your symptoms or health concerns.

If you are fed-up of digestive issues, feeling run-down and lack energy, not feeling your best, or need support to make change then I can help you. Together we can agree your health goals and personalise a nutrition and lifestyle plan that will help you to make positive changes for an improved, healthier, and happier you.

What is Nutritional Therapy…

Nutritional Therapy provides personalised, evidence-based diet and lifestyle advice. A wide range of tools are used to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and ‘root causes’ of your symptoms and health concerns, using the functional nutrition approach. Considering interactions between the environment and body systems, as well as your life history, enables a personalised approach to maximise your health.

Everyone is different. Your diet, lifestyle, environment, and genetics are unique to you, and there is no, one-size fits all solution. Identifying the various functional areas that may be negatively impacting your health provides an opportunity to develop a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan. Coaching tools can help you to achieve your health and life goals.

A food first, practical nutritional therapy approach considers lifestyle and food preferences and incorporates supplements and functional testing where appropriate.

How can I help you…

I specialise in digestive health and IBS, supporting healthy weight management and blood sugar balance (such as with pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes). Personalised nutritional support incorporates coaching to help you manage your diet and lifestyle.

  • Functional, evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle consultations will look to determine what may be causing your digestive health issues. We will address root causes and consider individual lifestyle, diet & environmental influences on your health.

  • Together we can work on realistic and achievable goals to making healthier food and lifestyle choices to help manage your weight and blood sugar balance.

  • Incorporating neurolinguistic programming (NLP) techniques within nutritional therapy can help you to manage and change thoughts and behaviours.

Functional testing may be proposed to assess nutritional imbalances and inform personalised diet and lifestyle recommendations. There will be an additional charge for private functional testing which may also include a charge for interpretation.

What clients say …

  • "Sarah really helped me improve my understanding of nutrition and blood sugar balance and worked very hard to produce a plan that met my needs. I was able to put this into action easily and had some very positive results. I am now more mindful when I eat especially when travelling and include protein at each meal, including adding chia and flaxseed to porridge at breakfast, with a noticeable improvement in carbohydrate cravings during the day. Thanks Sarah, for all your help and encouragement!"

    Chris, Essex

  • "Working with Sarah was a really positive process, and I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and noticeable the changes to my energy levels were. It was amazing to see that it was all doable and sensible. Sarah is kind and supportive and really engaged in the detail, but also able to explain complicated things clearly. Most of all she made the process relaxed and realistic. I’d thoroughly recommend her."

    Jo, Dorset

  • "Sarah explained what she thought may be triggering my symptoms and she supported me with a food strategy and recipe ideas to exclude gluten. I ‘feel so much better’ and more comfortable with no bloating or energy issues. I no longer have a sore shoulder, knees or hips and can now go for walks and not have to take a painkiller afterwards as I needed to previously. The healthy plate has been useful when meal planning and have the ‘rainbow diet' hand-out on the fridge, adapting the example eating plan to my own shopping list and menu. I have enjoyed experimenting and found that I can easily add vegetables to many meals."
