About
Qualifications
With an MSc in Personalised Nutrition and Diploma in Nutritional Therapy I understand how diet and lifestyle can influence health and disease. I am keen to support individuals with the knowledge to eat and live more healthily.
Specialising in digestive health and weight-management in relation to blood glucose balance and type 2 diabetes dietary support, I encourage and educate individuals and groups on diet and lifestyle choices. Working together we can address the factors that can influence health and wellbeing, energy levels, sleep, and stress.
As a qualified NLP coach practitioner, I work with clients to help change behaviours and emotions that may hinder their ability to modify their diet and lifestyle. By supporting people with the tools, skills, and confidence to reach their goals they can begin to take control of their personal wellbeing.
I am registered with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine, the professional body for nutritional therapists. Also with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, the independent UK regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners.
More About Me
A natural cook, I have always been interested in food and how it links to health. After more than 25 years within marketing and communications, an opportunity for voluntary redundancy allowed me to formally re-train to pursue my interest and passion for nutrition. I understand through personal experience the impact digestive issues can have on everyday life, especially IBS, which inspired me to learn how nutritional therapy can help.
With relatives diagnosed with and at risk of type 2 diabetes it was apparent that making changes to diet and lifestyle habits can be a struggle. I want to help others to manage their weight and diet and provide them with the knowledge to balance their blood sugar levels.
I practice using functional, evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle consultations to address the root causes of health issues. Understanding how individual lifestyle, diet & environmental influences can impact on health enables clients to take control of their symptoms.
